The Alumni Association of the Indore School of Social Work was first initiated by Fr. P.A. Jose (1973-1975) with the support of Mr.Alphons Kurien (1974-1976) during the year 1990 at an informal gathering at Kottayam. Later, this took proper shape with the active involvement of Dr. Suseel Samuel (1981-1983) and Mr.Shaji Mathew (1985-1987), who were the first President and Secretary respectively.

The Association was registered in the year 1991 with the objective of extending its operations beyond these informal gatherings and to also take up social work assignments.  Initially, the organisers thought this would help in providing employment assistance to fresh graduates of the School. Though this objective could not be fully realised due to paucity of time, members of the association have, time and again, been successful in securing employment for several graduates.

Nostalgia not withstanding, due to the active participation of the alumni and the strong interpersonal relationship between all, the association has been getting stronger year after year. The association has been holding an annual meet every year till date without a break.

This website is a new initiative by the office bearers for 2008-2009.  We are sure our website will help in further strengthening the association and will open up a forum to interact and update ourselves on the activities from time to time.
